Mercado Hispano

HISPANIC Magazine Celebrates a New Look With Paulina Rubio

MIAMI, March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- International pop star Paulina Rubio, who is on the cover of HISPANIC Magazine's April issue, will join the magazine's staff and invited guests to officially launch the redesign of the national glossy next week. She will headline a launch party in Miami on April 6 in which the magazine's modern new look will be unveiled.

"It's a modern look that captures the essence of our magazine and the grandness of our mission," says Hispanic Publishing Group publisher and CEO Sam Verdeja. "We cover our people and our issues like no one else."

"Since we were born 16 years ago in April, this month's issue seemed perfect for launching our new look," says HISPANIC editor Carlos Verdecia, adding that the new design is more reader-friendly, featuring modern typography and a more effective use of photography. The magazine even redesigned its cover masthead -- "something not many magazines feel confident enough to do," Verdecia points out.

The reception will begin at 6 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami. Rubio, a Latina superstar with a new hit album and plans to record her first English-language CD, will join HISPANIC staff for a press conference at 4 p.m. to introduce the magazine's new design before the celebration.

HISPANIC Magazine is the largest English-language, general-interest monthly in the United States, with a circulation of more than 280,000 copies. It is owned by Hispanic Publishing Group, which also publishes HISPANIC Trends, a business magazine, and HispanicOnline.com, a Latino web pioneer featuring updated news, information and entertainment for Hispanic Americans. comunidad latina será el mercado más solicitado en materia cinematográfica
